Hearing Aid Repair Grant

Your hearing aids might repairing from time to time. But did you know you can claim a PRSI grant towards the cost of repairing your hearing aids?

The DSP pays the full cost of a hearing aid up to a maximum of €500 (€1,000 for a pair) once every 4 years. It also pays the full cost of repairs to aids, up to a maximum of €100.

The Department of Social Protection provide the grant based on a person’s PRSI contribution record, based on your social contributions and tax credits.

Employees, self-employed workers and their dependent spouse or partner may qualify for the grant. The hearing aid grant is available every 4 years.
